Easy Ways to Boost Your Confidence

Confidence is our own to grow and develop. It’s a constant life process and something I’m sure many of us go up and down with. The following tips are what I try to live by everyday, some days not as well as others but I’m always striving. I love reading quick tips and looking at confidence quotes to give me a boost! Here are some of my favourite words of wisdom.

Get Rid of Doubt

Why would anyone believe in you, your ideas, or your ability if you don’t believe in them yourself? If you are low in self-esteem, thinking negatively can make it worse. Stop listening to those around you who bring negative energy and start putting yourself first. Think more positive and see what a difference it can make.

Challenge Yourself

People who are fearful or insecure tend to stay within their comfort zones. You can’t progress by always staying in that mind-set. Don’t let opportunities pass you by even if they scare you. Trying something new is not only great for confidence, it’s great for the mind and spirit too.

Team up

Chances are there’s a person in your life that has the confidence you admire. Be around them more, a good confident person can act as a mirror, giving you the perspective you need to believe in yourself. Remember, no one in the world is confident all of the time. So next time you want to do something the best thing to do is to just get started on a positive note and give it a go.

Confidence not Arrogance

Being conceited isn’t confidence. There’s a fine line and its sometimes easily crossed with insecurity. Confidence gives you the power to conquer the world. Have pride in yourself and what you do and keep your ego in check!

Dress for Success

Whether we like it or not, how we dress has a huge effect on how people see us. It’s presenting ourselves to other people and how we see ourselves in the mirror. That’s not to say we should all be looking immaculate 24/7. Choose clothing and style that reflects who you are and the image you want to project.

Social Media Unfollow

Scrolling through a newsfeed of size 0 celebrities and models can make you feel like a failure. Seeing people with ‘perfect’ lives and scenarios can make you feel inadequate. Make good use of the unfollow or unfriend button. Use that power to hide anyone who makes you feel insecure and follow friends and pages that make you feel good!

Have Passion

If you love what you do, you feel confident enough to take on any new aspects and it’s putting a smile on your face. Positive thinking, practice, knowledge and talking to other people are all useful ways to help improve or boost your confidence levels.

Remember, you have the self control to progress and make yourself a better person. Know your own strengths and weaknesses.

What do you do to boost your confidence?
